DAY 1: CHIANG MAI – CHIANG DAO – THATON – CHIANG RAI

Depart from your hotel in Chiang Mai at approximately 8:30 a.m. and travel north to visit an orchid and butterfly farm.

Continue to Chiang Dao Cave, where you can walk inside and explore its natural rock formations and sacred Buddhist areas. After lunch, travel to Wat Thaton, a colourful hilltop temple with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and countryside.

Continue to a cultural village representing Akha, Palaung and Kayan (Long Neck Karen) communities. Learn about their traditions, clothing and local way of life before travelling to Chiang Rai.

Dinner is at your own expense. We can recommend a suitable restaurant and take you there.

Overnight at your chosen hotel in Chiang Rai. Accommodation is not included, and guests are responsible for booking their own hotel.

DAY 2: CHIANG RAI – MAE SAI – GOLDEN TRIANGLE – CHIANG SAEN – CHIANG MAI

After breakfast at your own expense, visit the Monkey and Fish Cave area before continuing to Mae Sai, Thailand’s northernmost border district beside Myanmar.

After lunch, travel to the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet around the Mekong and Ruak rivers. Enjoy views across the three countries and take a boat trip on the Mekong River.

Continue to the historic town of Chiang Saen before visiting Wat Rong Khun, widely known as the White Temple. Admire its distinctive contemporary Thai architecture and detailed artwork before returning to Chiang Mai.

The itinerary and visiting order may be adjusted depending on traffic, weather and local operating conditions.
