DAY 1: CHIANG MAI – ELEPHANT CAMP – THATON

Depart from your hotel in Chiang Mai and travel north to visit an orchid and butterfly farm.

Continue to an elephant camp and enjoy an elephant show, elephant ride, traditional ox-cart ride and bamboo rafting.

After lunch, travel to Wat Thaton, a colourful hilltop temple with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and countryside.

Check in at the hotel you have selected and booked independently in Thaton.

Dinner is at your own expense. We can recommend a suitable restaurant and take you there.

Overnight in Thaton. Accommodation is not included in the tour price.

DAY 2: THATON – MAE SAI – GOLDEN TRIANGLE – CHIANG RAI

After breakfast at your own expense, travel to Mae Sai, Thailand’s northernmost border district beside Myanmar.

After lunch, continue to the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet around the Mekong and Ruak rivers. Enjoy views across the three countries and learn about the history of this important border region.

Continue to Chiang Rai and check in at the hotel you have selected and booked independently.

Dinner is at your own expense. We can recommend a suitable restaurant and take you there.

Overnight in Chiang Rai. Accommodation is not included in the tour price.

DAY 3: CHIANG RAI SIGHTSEEING – CHIANG RAI AIRPORT OR CHIANG MAI

After breakfast at your own expense, visit Wat Huay Pla Kang, known for its impressive architecture and large Guan Yin statue.

Continue to the Black House Museum, followed by Wat Rong Suea Ten, widely known as the Blue Temple.

After lunch, visit Wat Rong Khun, the famous White Temple, and admire its distinctive contemporary Thai architecture and detailed artwork.

After completing the Chiang Rai sightseeing program, choose one of the following drop-off options:

• Transfer to Chiang Rai International Airport for your onward flight

or

• Return to Chiang Mai with a stop at Mae Kachan Hot Spring along the way

The itinerary and visiting order may be adjusted depending on traffic, weather, flight time and local operating conditions.
